Vesting day at West Thurrock was celebrated in time honored fashion.
The Old Oak Tree
The day when the assets managed by the old National Power Division of the CEGB to the new company, was marked by the planting of an oak tree.
In fact, the tree-planting ceremony, carried out by Director of Operations and Construction Granville Camsey, took place the day before Vesting day, which was on March 31, 1990
Is it still there ?
I wonder what happened to the old Oak tree !
